**16 bit/44.1khz**

Source: Sennheiser MKE 2002 > Tascam DA-P1 (M) (44.1 khz)
Config/Location: mounted on a ~3ft stand onstage DFC right in front of the band (no stage played on floor level)
Transfer: Sony PCM-2600(Apogee AES/EBU)>Sound Devices 722 (16/44.1)>
Firewire>Macbook>Sound Studio 3.6(fades, normalize peak, track)>
xACT 2.20(align on sector boundaries, encode, tag, fingerprint)>flac16 (level 8 )
Taped by: Joel Gershon (mics) and Lenny Stubbe (deck)
Transferred and seeded by: Lenny Stubbe

One Set: (1:16:15)

01. intro
02. That Country Tune
03. She Sends Me
04. Moth
05. Buster>
06. St. Augustine
07. Salt Creek
08. Johnny Lineup
09. Bring You Down
10. Seat Of My Pants
11. Time Again
12. Nebraska
13. Threw It All Away

Notes:
- Salt Creek is first time played, outside of a brief tease in 32 Things on 5/5/96 in Syracuse
- Some Salt Creek teasing in the intro and right before That Country Tune
- This is the first time my Master DAT of this show has been transferred and circulated lossless online. The previous transfer available in SHN on the Live Music Archive is from a multiple gen clone
- This is also the only known recording of this show. We were the only tapers, and I don't recall Brendan O'Neill, moe.'s sound engineer at the time running anything. Vocals were un-amplified
- This was a special in-store acoustic performance to promote the bands new release No Doy as they made their way back from Ohio to wrap up the fall tour in Western/Central NY, and Ontario Canada. Might have been approximately 30-40 people filled in the small New World Records on Elmwood Ave., on the West side of Buffalo this night. al's "surprise" shout before Moth is because of a couple customers walking in to see the band set up with a bunch of people inside the front door!
- This was drummer Chris Mazur's last week with the band
- autographed j-card picture included with the fileset
- This is dedicated to my friend Joel Gershon (d.1997 RIP), who was a early moe. taper around Buffalo at a time when he was often the only taper at shows

12. encore break
13. Box Of Rain

Notes:
- Full band original setlist. Kevin Rosen played the vintage 4 string Gibson style Lesh bass which added a really raw sound to the low end of the show
- Rob Barraco on vocals for Unbroken Chain and Box Of Rain
- Chimes Of Freedom is a Bob Dylan cover and features Lisa Mackey on vocals
- Tangled Up In Blue contained a St. Stephen tease by Jeff Mattson and several China Cat teases by Rob Eaton

This was the first night of 2 sold out shows at the Town Ballroom, and the second night of the East Coast Fall Tour. Big thanks to Pat Logan for the VIP tickets allowing me for the most perfect taping spot in the venue. This is by far the best tape I have made in this venue, also helped by the new PA installed by the owner/promoter Artie at Funtime Productions. Big difference, sounded great in a usually poor sounding room.

Notes:
- Had the row behind the board all to ourselves, with mostly no one around us. Very well behaved, attentive audience. Crowd interference in this recording is basically non existent, coupled with this being the best sounding room in Buffalo, made for a nice recording. It's all music, with the warm intimate feeling you want to experience when listening to an audience recording. It is so quiet in the theatre that at times you can hear the squeaking of mine and my wife's chair as we move around during the show.
- I tamed down some of the audience roars and claps after a couple songs just a little bit
- It Might As Well Be Me is a Hornsby/Robert Hunter original
- End of the Innocence begins with extended improv intro
- 20/20 Vision is a re-work of a Jimmy Martin original
- Mandolin Rain is Skaggs/Hornsby bluegrass version
- I Can't Make You Love Me is a Bonnie Raitt original that Bruce originally played on
- Hymn in C is a Bruce song from the soundtrack of the Spike Lee movie Red Hook Summer
- Bruce was in full storyteller solo mode, giving backdrops to songs and being very chatty all night. I have left the story's behind some of the songs included in the beginning of each track as available

Notes:
- Kill Devil Falls contained a Jeopardy theme tease
- My Friend segued did not contain the traditional "myfe" ending
- Harry Hood contained a Kung quote
- Page thanks the crew and audience for a great tour prior to encore
- Some clipping in the first 3 minutes of AC/DC Bag that left a few minor cracks in the music. Things got a little crazy in the tapers section for the first few minutes where I wasn't fully watching levels, and sure enough the band came out cranking. Things settle in beautifully after I made the adjustment

04. Fog that Surrounds

07. Sleeping Monkey>
08. Sparkle>
09. Mike's Song>
10. Weekapaug Groove
11. Amazing Grace

12. encore break
13. Uncle Pen

Notes:
- Hello My Baby and Amazing Grace performed acappella
- Split Open and Melt contains a brief In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida jam (Iron Butterfly) towards the beginning
- Reba has no whistling, and contains a Pop Goes the Weasel tease
- Weekapaug Groove is unfinished and goes into a Digital delay loop jam
- Audience chess moves starts the Set II intro track
- My personal all time favorite Slave to the Traffic Light!
- Tech note - All of Don's digital outs oh all the decks he had daisy chained out of his rig were taken, so I took an RCA>1/8 analog out of his DAP1. I was the only one with an analog signal. Don normally ran his levels conservatively, while at the show against his advise I ran my levels hot, so you will notice a difference in gain on this transfer as opposed to the previous transfer that came from a digital out patch from Don
- This is the first transfer with a 48khz version in circulation as of this date
- This venue became a Seneca Nation Casino on 12/31/02
- Some setlist notes are courtesy of our phriends at Phish.net
- 48 khz version exists
